AuDHD therapy for teens and adults in Westlake Village and online
For people who are both ADHD and autistic, and tired of being understood only halfway. In person in Westlake Village and by telehealth across California.
If your brain wants a new project and also wants everything to stay exactly the same, welcome.
When ADHD and autism overlap
Being both ADHD and autistic often means living with needs that pull in opposite directions. You might crave novelty and also need routine, want connection and also need time alone to recover, or feel restless in a quiet room and overwhelmed in a loud one. Because each set of traits hides the other, many AuDHD people go years with only one diagnosis, or none.
Common experiences include:
- Needs that seem to contradict each other
- A diagnosis that explains some of your experience, but not all of it
- Masking two sets of traits at once
- Sensory overwhelm alongside restlessness
- Burnout that builds faster than rest can fix it
- Feeling like you don’t fully fit in either community
Room for all of you
Together, we’ll explore how both sides of your brain shape your identity, energy, and relationships. We’ll look at where the pull between them creates stress, and find ways to meet both sets of needs instead of choosing one.
You’re welcome to tell me what works for you, whether that’s more structure, more flexibility, or some of each depending on the day.
You don’t need to have it all figured out
You don’t need a formal diagnosis of both to work with me. If you’ve read about AuDHD and recognized yourself, that’s a good place to start.
Your first step is a free 15-minute call. We’ll talk about what’s going on and whether we’re a good fit.
